Figure Unveils A Groundbreaking Robot Demonstration. Is This The Beginning Of The Robot Takeover?

Figure reveals a stunning robotics breakthrough.

When we look back at 2025, it’s likely that one of the most important stories will be the progression of robotics and how they led to embodied AI. Today, the robotics company Figure made a major contribution in advancing the field. Yesterday, CEO Brett Adcock once again mentioned that they had something groundbreaking to unveil, and today we got to see it.

Figure demonstrated two humanoid robots coordinating and cooperating on a task to put some groceries away in a kitchen. This certainly looks cool, but it’s only when you understand more about what’s being demonstrated that you really appreciate it. These two robots were given a task and a set of objects that they had not seen before and were not specifically programmed to tackle.

The two robots have to figure the appropriate actions to take based on the instructions given and the objects they are seeing, and they have to work together to complete the task. The two robots are sharing information in real time as they are networked together and they appear to have some very intriguing non verbal communication going on.

The Unitree robots may have stolen all the headlines with their cool dance moves recently, but what FIGURE have demonstrated here feels truly groundbreaking. We’d expect to see a feedback loop similar to the full self driving model on Teslas. The more these robots do work, the better they will get and all of the FIGURE robots will benefit instantly from the increased knowledge and experience.

The projection of robotics for the rest of year feels very hard to predict, but it’s likely to be at a level that will be jaw dropping to anyone that’s not keeping up.
