This would give Samsung an opportunity to offer a class leading AI assistant directly into the user experience of their phones and reduce some of their reliance on Google. Perplexity was recently valued at $9 billion and a deal like this could see that figure rise even higher. PlayAI just released a new open source model called Playdiffusion.

This is an AI speech editing model that lets you modify existing speech in audio. If you’re familiar with the concept of inpainting with AI visuals, then this is a similar concept with AI audio. You take an existing piece of audio content and get the model to add, modify or replace words and phrases while matching the original voice.
