Google have announced Gemini CLI, an open source AI agent that integrates Gemini 2.5 Pro into the terminal, offering developers access to a 1 million token context window, 60 requests per minute and 1,000 requests per day at no cost if you have a Gemini code assist licence, it provides lightweight access to Gemini, giving you the most direct path from your prompt to the model.

And it’s not just for coding, you can of course use it to create cat videos. Anthropic has unveiled artifacts on Claude. The artifacts space allows users to browse examples, customise them and then organise their own creations. It’s similar in function to most canvas style tools, but it has one additional very cool trick up its sleeve, you can embed Claude’s intelligence capabilities directly into the apps that you make so that your creations have AI built into them.
