AI News for February 13.
Elon Musk continues to build the hype for Grok 3, describing it as scary smart and saying that it comes up with solutions that you wouldn’t even anticipate. At this point, it’s impossible to assess where Grok 3 might stack up against the other big players, but if it does manage to deliver a significant step change in capability and maybe steal the top spot, then perhaps all those billions spent on X and the training data it provides will start to look like a bargain.
Google announced that their AI video model, VEO 2, is now integrated into YouTube shorts in a feature called ‘Dream Screen’. You can now create images and video within the Shorts creation workflow and use it to add any kind of additional content to your creation. The AI coding platform Lovable just added an incredible new layer of visual editing to their tools.
The new layer allows users to take control of the output of the coding tool and fine tune the style with a visual editor similar to what you might find in a full on visual web development service. This is one that we’re really looking forward to playing around with.
