Claude Code Security Finds Undetected Software Vulnerabilities & Wipes Out Cybersecurity Stocks.

AI isn't just wiping out jobs, it's wiping out entire industries, and ironically, it's the tech sector itself that is continuously under fire. Anthropic have announced a new feature called Claude Code Security. It's built on Claude Opus 4.6, and it can analyse entire codebases for potential security vulnerabilities. Anthropic was immediately able to prove its worth by identifying multiple issues in open source projects, some of which have been missed for decades. As usual this fantastic advancement is a double-edged-sword as the news sent cybersecurity stocks tumbling. CrowdStrike and Cloudflare both dropped by 8% in a day. And this is the crux of the AI issue, wherever there are problems, there are entire industries built around managing those problems. So what happens when AI comes along and just solves them?
