Google Launches Flow Music - Create, Remix and Share Full Tracks With Natural Language Prompts

Google has launched Flow Music, a new standalone platform that allows users to create, share, and remix original music using natural language prompts. The service, formerly known as ProducerAI, represents Google's entry into the competitive AI music generation market alongside established players like Suno and Udio. Flow Music operates on Google's Lyria 3 music model, with additional AI systems handling different aspects of the creative process. Gemini manages chat orchestration, whilst Veo generates accompanying music videos and Nano Banana creates album artwork. This integration transforms the platform from a simple generator into a comprehensive creative suite accessible through text prompts. The platform's standout features include advanced remix capabilities that allow users to modify specific sections of existing tracks without regenerating entire compositions. The Replace and Extend functions enable targeted editing through natural language commands, allowing users to swap stems, extend bridges, or alter the mood of choruses through conversational interfaces rather than traditional audio editing tools. Google acquired ProducerAI in February 2024, a company originally built as Riffusion with backing from The Chainsmokers. Flow Music now joins Google's existing Flow platforms for images and video, completing a comprehensive AI creative ecosystem that spans text, image, video, and music generation under a unified brand.
