Google's AI Search Canvas Rolls Out To All US Users. Is Traditional Search Dead?

Google is opening their AI Canvas Mode to everyone in the US. It's a persistent side panel inside Search that allows the user to chat through what they need. Is this just the new phase of the search engine, or the end of it? Canvas is Google's answer to what happens after you search, and it's now rolling out to all US users. Rather than giving you a result and sending you away, it keeps a working document alongside your session - you build and edit as you go, without leaving Search. The update adds creative writing and coding to the feature set, meaning you can now draft documents or build custom interactive tools from within Search itself. That's seriously extending the concept of a search, it's transforming it into something else entirely.
