OWS, or Open Wallet Standard, is an open-source protocol that gives AI agents a single, consistent way to connect to any supported wallet. Instead of building custom integrations for every chain and every wallet provider, developers plug into one standard and the agent handles the rest.
This sits alongside Stripe's Machine Payments Protocol from a few days ago. The infrastructure for agents to spend money autonomously is being built in parallel across both crypto and traditional finance. The question isn't whether agents will have wallets - it's what will be in them.
