AI News – June 10
WWDC looks cool, but lacks any AI substance the Xai and Polymarket partnership begins to shape up OpenAI announce the release of o3-Pro and Krea release their own AI image model Here’s today’s AI news. WWDC 25 happened and there were some cool new things announced, mostly around interface updates with iOS 26 and Vision OS.

But for anyone that is following the evolution of AI, the contrast between this event and the Google I O event a couple of weeks ago couldn’t be more stark. While the Google event was an AI centric event with AI at the heart of every product and vision, the Apple event seemed to relegate AI to mostly some footnotes.

It seemed like an admission that they were struggling to keep pace and that their best play was to keep the attention elsewhere. xAI have released more details regarding their partnership with Polymarket. Data from X will be integrated into Polymarket and and analysed using Grok in an aim to enhance the accuracy of Polymarket’s forecasts.

From the video you can get a sense of how this relationship will work. The data coming from X is used to help inform the predictions and the sources that are used are then made available directly in the Polymarket interface. It will be fascinating to see how this data influences and potentially improves Polymarket’s capability to predict the future.

OpenAI have posted on X, “OpenAI o3-pro today” How much you’re excited about this will depend almost entirely on just how ‘in the weeds’ you are with everything AI. If you’re anything other than slightly obsessed with AI, then most likely this kind of announcement will just leave you scratching your head and saying “wait, aren’t we already on 4.5 or something now?” And this is the problem with OpenAI’s naming convention.

How can you build hype around model releases when no one understands them? So, what is o3-pro? Well, it should be OpenAI’s most advanced reasoning model to date. And finally Krea have announced krea 1, an advanced AI image model made by Krea themselves. Krea believe that this model is their answer to the ‘AI look’ problem.
[02:00.3]
They say that most AI models suffer from soft textures, excessive contrast and produce boring compositions or styles. Krea 1 is designed to address these issues by offering style reference images, superior aesthetic control and high resolution outputs up to 4K.

In a world where most models can produce hyper realistic looking outputs, that often intangible “style” component could make a huge difference.
